This might be my favorite picture.
Shot into a mirror in my cousin’s bathroom at a family party, after my youngest and her cousin got ahold of some wax lips. My settings were whacky, and this was the very first roll of film I’d shot since… shawty had them Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur (I'm talking about 2008, friends). I can hear these sweet babies’ laughter when I see this image. It’s perfectly imperfect to me, and it hangs in my home because it brings me abundant joy.

Oh heyyy, I’m Erin. The photo above is a treasured keepsake for me and my family, and I strive to create something equally meaningful for yours (and yes — a bit more technically correct).
Images you can feel… but also hear and smell.
Does that make sense? ; )
My roots are in birth photography, perhaps an unusual (read: challenging) entry point, but it taught me a lot of deeply meaningful lessons in a hurry. I learned that the best approach is to match the energy of the room, listen closely, photograph with care, and pay attention to (and have a play with!) light. Being invited into such vulnerable spaces shaped how I show up everywhere else: with patience, sensitivity, and respect for people’s stories. Starting my career in the birth space has been an unexpected gift. I don’t believe in forcing moments or chasing perfection. I believe in presence, in trust, and in allowing images to form naturally from real connection. At the heart of it all is a belief in honest storytelling.
My work is for those who value feeling over posing, honesty over polish, and photographs that hold meaning long after this season has passed. I work best with people who want to be seen as they are — without performance, without pressure.
Why I do this
I do this work because I believe there is meaning in the mundane. In the way people love each other on ordinary days, in small gestures that don’t ask to be photographed. I’m drawn to preserving what’s real - not to make it beautiful, but because it already is.
How I work
My work is shaped by years spent in intimate, unscripted spaces. I’ll offer gentle guidance when it’s helpful, but my priority is creating a calm environment where nothing needs to be forced. I focus on holding space and paying attention to what’s real, trusting that honesty and connection create the strongest images.
Fun Facts about me
I am a collector of 1960s/70s kitsch decor and furniture. Give me all the aggressive florals - chairs, curtains, dishware oh my!
I had a pop-up wedding at Portillos.
Followed a month later by a (non-legally binding) ceremony/party at STAX Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis.
I guess I love a good theme party?
Anyway - I hate About Me pages, but love oversharing in real life. Let's get coffee!
